Commanding the flagship Sumatra Queen, in the 1820's Captain Obed Marsh sailed out of town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts to procure gold artifacts from Polynesian islanders, who received them from a race of fish people (Deep Ones) in exchange for human sacrifices. Embracing the native legends and folklore as he traded for gold, when he arrived in 1838, he discovered that the islanders had been slaughtered by their neighbors. Innsmouth had come to rely on the gold Marsh brought back from the Pacific isle, so in the wake of the tragic events, its economy crumbled.

In a wave of depression, late one night Obed Marsh looked through the strange artifacts he acquired on his voyages. Finding the old disks that Chief Walakea had given him, he remembered they were a necessary part of the summoning ritual. In a desperate moment, Obed rowed away from Innsmouth to Devil's Reef, where he uttered the ritual he had learned, watching as Deep Ones rose up from the inky black depths.

Obed Marsh founded the Esoteric Order of Dagon, promising great prosperity in exchange for serving the Polynesian fish gods. The plague of 1846 decimated half of Innsmouth’s population, which left the survivors firmly in Marsh’s grasp. Members of the Order had to take three oaths, the first was an oath of secrecy, the second, an oath of loyalty, and the third, an oath to marry a Deep One and sire its child. Due to the latter oath, interbreeding became the norm in Innsmouth, resulting in widespread deformities and half-breeds.

Hey everyone! I'm back! For those who didn't know, I went on a little hiatus around August- I found out I am pregnant and it's been draining. I'm currently seven months pregnant, and I'm ready to get this baby out haha. Oh, and it's a BOY! So excited! This art is dedicated to him. I love reading nursery rhymes to my daughter, and I'm sure I will enjoy reading to my son. <3

And I'm rusty. I think. It's been awhile.

Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't be offended if I haven't faved/commented on your recent works. I'm a little overwhelmed right now with all my notifications. As you can imagine, it's a little daunting. But I will get to them all in time.

Jack never could have imagined that his purchasing a shrink ray for his wife would eventually lead to him becoming her tiny foot worshiper - it was a snowball sort of scenario. First she convinced him that her salary was enough for the two of them, then she blocked off whole days where she would keep her husband in his little bird cage. Eventually she fashioned a hook into the bottom of her workdesk to keep her little man trapped right at her feet all day. She loved to flick his little cage around during conference calls, and hear her tiny husband unleash a high-pitched tirade up at her to no avail. It is all too adorable.
