'Accompanied by the generous warmth given by the sheets and blankets, Sigyn dreamed a heavy, dark dream. She found herself in a space alien to every environment she knew. But to her surprise and to add more sudden questions to her current situation, the scene of the celebration made hours ago was repeated. She saw again that everyone in the feast made fun of the sad state which Loki was victim of.
Sigyn repeated the brave words in defense of the prince, all laughed at her saying she was in danger of being the personal maid of Loki. But at the time Andhrimir finished from wooing her, the atmosphere changed. Sigyn remained frozen. Something warned her that a brief but disastrous event would happen... at least for those who had laughed at the demented second prince of Asgard.
The maid looked both ways, cornering against a wooden column. The torches began to fade slowly by itselves. The present ones showed already shaken to the gloomy darkness, escorted by the silence that allowed the group of servants to listen attentively a dangerous hiss... Sigyn's eyes sought the direction where this strange whistle came from. Suddenly, an unusual air breathed in the atmosphere: Cold. Similar to the places of Jötunheim, a place Sigyn had heard only horror stories as much as adventures told by the warriors of the House of Odin.
-By All-Father, what the hell is going on here? - One of the partygoers asked.
Sigyn was still immobilized, sensing that something very bad was approximating rapidly. She remained hidden behind the column of ebony, waiting to happen what had to happen. Her eyes looked innocent and frightened, to a shadow creeping through the darkness to lif itself up... Sigyn recognized the silhouette that slowly started walking menacingly toward them. The young maid covered her mouth, hiding from that grim figure. The attendees remained silent, first stunned and then terrified to see that this person was the fearful and insane, deranged Prince Loki, who was dressed in his solemn and majestic King's clothes. His golden helmet with sharp horns, armor and the scepter that had a blue jewel. These costumes which he had been in Midgard with, in his hard and failed odyssey where he wanted to conquer the world and to rule it. To it and its miserable mortals.
Loki walked toward them, terrorizing the entire horde of servants, who did nothing useful to them by running away in terror to hide anything that would give them shelter from the monstrosity that the Forgotten Prince would unleash. The pseudo monarch pointed to a number of servants to annihilate them with the power of the magnum scepter. Sigyn opened her eyes to see the macabre scene: Loki gritted his teeth while enjoying spreading the justified terror among the uneducated insolent and unclean peasants. The young prince untied a cruel attack on those who stayed behind in the stampede, similar - or more - to that perpetrated when he had come to earth for the first time. He did exactly the same against the irreverents, some heavy blows dealt them, throwing them against the weak and feeble wooden pillars. Others were murdered by Loki who threw the tiny but deadly throat daggers he hid in his clothes, the very same ones which he harmed Thor so cruelly during the battle at Stark Tower.
Although the young girl who was hiding behind the large ebony pillar knew nothing prior to the arrival of Loki after the incredible misfortune lived on earth, she felt she had seen or sensed that before. For the aspiring king, the scene in Stuttgart repeated, but the difference was that he was not there but in Asgard.
- You illiterate, miserable peasants - he whispered angrily, like a beast, supporting the scepter in one hand and stamping it against the ground as a sign of order - I will teach all of you your place...
Loki created two doubles of himself to both ends of where the tide of fleeing servants found, to prevent them to escape. Sigyn got down, crowding against the bracket back and closing her eyes and covering her ears. Loki created two doubles to corner the horde of servants and exterminate them at once. With his face distorted, deformed with rage and anger for having been so cruelly humiliated by a pain they would never know about, he threw the potent and lethal blue ray against the mocking group.
- You filthy insects! - Loki roared, in a voice that was far away from the seductive and sensual silver tongue - Know your place! You dare to call the one who was and is the rightful king of Asgard "King of Worms"?! Well... I will return you to where the worms dwell! He cried now, seeing that all of them vanished in a bright, blue light that rose like a little cloud of steam into the sky.
Sigyn shivered by seeing how her friends dissipated with the air, holding back as best as she could, the need to unleash her horror by shouting with all her strength. The girl made no attempt to escape, if she moved ... with only running one wrong move, Sigyn would suffer the same fate as the servants, so she saw as a fast salvation to lie there, prey of the dark, in the stillness afforded by the wooden column.
Loki breathed heavily and expeditiously after the dreadful slaughter, looking around to see if any delinquent had escaped. He softened the sound and rhythm of his breath when walking more slowly on the rise. The Prince observed almost studying the bodies of those who had died because of the small daggers in their throats, making them aside contemptuously with his foot. Sigyn looked horrified the contempt with which Loki treated the lifeless bodies. She wanted to flee from there and lose all sight of him forever, but Sigyn knew she could do nothing. The fear kept her inactive. Tears slid down her cheeks, her head plotted at full speed a way to escape from that mortuary place.
Her horror was increased when she saw now Loki looked to the side where she was, without stopping the walk. Now he looked away to the paralleled side, analyzing the dark corridors leading to the rooms. Sigyn could not look away from the shadowy figure belonging to Loki he looked majestic, magnificent and imposing with those costumes... better when he was king in Asgard so fleetingly. She felt admiration and terror mingled in such pleasurable dichotomy within her insides. However, the fear was stronger and when she saw it was the perfect opportunity, the maid surviving did not hesitate to run, as she had never done before in trying not to make any noise.
But Loki turned, with his cape waving in graceful motion.
From the distance he noticed Sigyn rushing to a swift exit. The young maiden felt him sigh in annoyance, knowing what he would do to her if hed caught her... maybe he would do the same to her as the others... but a thousand times worse. She was close to a door but to her terror, an optical illusion of Loki appeared before her: Sigyn screamed. Interestingly, this illusion of the man she was fleeing from did nothing at all but to look at her very closely.
- Do not run Loki ordered from a distance.
Desperate, Sigyn disregarded for the first time an order from her master. She turned around; trying to find another way out of the mess but all she found was another illusion coming menacingly toward her.
- Do not run... Sigyn - he insisted with a calm, yet intimidating tone.
On the verge of collapse, Sigyn crushed against the wall, collapsing and avoiding looking at the demented king and trying to run again. She did it. And this time her disobedience ignited the anger in Lokis chest, who hit the ground with his scepter, through clenched teeth and frowning.
- I said... - and got rid of the doppelganger to get even closer to Sigyn DO NOT RUN!
Sigyn covered her mouth, swallowing as that young man was approaching, obeying the order at once. She stood still, the forehead on her knees, terrified beyond words, preparing to the punishment that would come from the hands of Loki.
Seconds flew. Sigyn felt no pain. She felt nothing that would inflict suffering through punishment since she received nothing. Sigyn stopped embracing her knees to see what was happening around him: the bodies of her companions had disappeared, as if they had never been there. This time Sigyn looked up: Loki, instead of showing himself angry or wrathful, his face wore a serene, tranquil feature... He had thrown the scepter aside and he offered his hand to Sigyn, who stared at him like debating whether to accept it or not. The girl, hesitating and trembling - not sure for fear or glad at the thought that he was not going to hurt her, took his hand. The prince gave a gentle tug to hers just to yard her against the wooden pillar.
- My... Lord...? - She asked with a small voice.
- Shhh... - Loki hissed, putting his long, thin fingers and pale in the exquisite lips from Sigyn - Fear not... for I will not hurt you - he smiled, conveying calmness.
The god slid his fingers down her cheek, watching the maid absolutely amazed despite the brief silence that sailed between them.
- You have heart - he whispered, attentive to her.
- My Lord... I beg you... - Sigyn said nervous.
- What is it?
- There is no need for this situation... to become more disastrous.
He laughed. His soft laughter was tremendously sensual, clinging to the weakened senses of Sigyn, unraveling them.
She rested her arms, embracing the column in which she lay cornered almost in the opposite way. Loki seemed saddened by that reaction. His piercing green eyes devoured Sigyns, who did renounce to the intense gaze of the prince who awakened a hidden interest in her. The god examined her beautiful figure, slim and curved ... he was breathing loudly, breaking the tense silence that enveloped them. Then he put both hands on her shoulders to study her once again.
- Do you fear me, Sigyn? - Loki asked sadly.
- No, my Lord - she replied.
- Then why have you reacted like this? He asked now, heartbroken and confused.
- Because you have killed my partners! - Sigyn howled, terrified and outraged by the question, covering her mouth.
Loki looked down, perhaps ashamed of what he had done, she thought. Loki started taking off his helmet as a sign of confidence. Sigyn gave a soft cry at the sound emitted by the artifact that served both as protection and as an aesthetic form. The young god put both hands on her face, digging, sinking into her eyes again.
- Do you think am I going to do to you the same thing I did to them, right? Loki asked.
Downcast and serious, Sigyn nodded.
- Why would I?
- Because... I am one more... of them - the maid replied not knowing what else to give as an answer Am I?
Loki sighed, closing his eyes. Now he dropped his hands from her shoulders to surround her exquisite waist with his arms, squeezing his body against hers, breathing his air and leaning his forehead against his preys without opening his eyes. Sigyn let out a loud gasp and struggled not to throw a moan. Sigyn clanged to his arms to avoid falling, being very close to each other. The couple's lips were millimeters away from a romantic and sensual touch as it was a kiss.
- Do not you notice? The God of Mischief asked, squeezing her even more against him - How could I be able to throw an attack against you? Not after you've defended me from criticism and mockery. Never... Do you think I would not appreciate that?
The maid felt a tingling in the chest.
- I...
- Do not you realize that my hostility towards you is the strongest cry I can shout for you to not go?
The girl frowned at that question.
- But my Lord... you yourself have told me that I...
Loki shook his head, rubbing his nose with hers.
- You still do not realize- he said- Please... please... do not do this to me.
- What, my lord? - She asked, baffled Sigyn, I could not hurt. You are nothing like them, you ... you cannot be like them - and Loki opened his eyes to watch her again Is not this simpler to understand? I do not want you to think that about me.
She asked this time what reason she had to think of him as the rest of the Asgardians. Loki said if she had not seen what he had done, or had no opinion about it. She denied it, saying again that she lacked of reasons to do so. Her place belonged to her duties in the House of Odin. Loki nodded, understanding the answer.
- Sigyn... the god whispered.
- My Lord? The maid asked, softly.
- Do not you crave something else about me then?
Something like ... - he stammered Like this? As a reward for being so friendly and kind to me... because I Loki put his hand on Sigyns waist - I can reward you... slowly and intimately he hissed in her ear, then put his hand in the middle of her chest but not touching Sigyn in a way that she deemed improper, feeling her heart beating fast gallops from within.
- My Lord... - she gasped, trying to get rid of him by gently pushing his body but it was useless: he held her back with his force from a Frost Giant.
- Dont you know how much I needed that someone was with me? - Loki hissed, taking her face earnestly Dont you understand? My hostility will remain as hostility to you but if you cannot see beyond that damned lie I hate to paint you. Do not be misled by that. Please Sigyn. I beg you... do not leave me. Only with you I shall able to vent... and when that sentence finished, the maid thought she heard the voice of the Prince was breaking. Sigyn, hesitant and even fearful, took his face in her hands:
Sigyn bit her lip when she saw that from Lokis emerald eyes welled transparent and salty tears. Running like rivulets down his cheeks and cheekbones, leaving bright trails by them.
- Loki... - she whispered, moved to the last drop of blood in her veins, willing to kiss him on his lips as a way to make him forget, even for only a fraction of seconds, the acid pain he was suffering.
- Wake up Loki whispered, bowing his head again.
