The team's Conflict Resolution Specialist had always found the actual 'hunting for ghosts' part of ghost hunting to be a tedious, time wasting affair. Unlike her more scientifically inclined colleagues, she had only mastered the most basic of functions on their sensors and scanners. So that meant a lot of time wandering up and down, tracing any possible blip on the equipment, hoping it wasn't some false image, and gradually moving in on the spectre. By the time she got to it, it had usually detected her, so would either try to escape (pretty easy, for those things that can move through walls) or be prepared to resist.
One evening, driving back to base after a particularly aggravating mission, she suddenly realised that there was a much better way to do things. Rather than hunt for the spook, she needed a way to lure it out of hiding. And if that lure could distract the ghost, and keep it's attention occupied, she had a much greater chance of taking it by surprise. Looking round the car, she realised that she might have the perfect lures handy...
And so it was that, when the rest of the team decided to split up to search the Mansion (and they always chose to split up), the specialist told them she would search one of the outbuildings, one which none of her colleagues was investigating. Instead, as soon as they were out of view, she returned to the car and listened to some music, keeping one eye on the car's sensor display to warn if anything approached. After three quarters of an hour (in her experience plenty of time for the others to run into trouble) she set off to the rescue.
Finding the rest of the team would be simple. As a precaution GPS trackers were built into the insignia they wore on their strapping, much easier to detect than ghosts. She could go straight to her colleagues locations. Typically the ghosts they hunted would get very distracted by her teammates, allowing her to take it unawares. Then, reinforced by whoever had been rescued, she could move on to the next one.
Sometimes she wondered if it was ethical to use her team mates as bait. But, they were smart girls. Surely they would have worked it out by now. The lack of complaints must surely mean they were OK with her scheme. After all, it wasn't likely that they WANTED to be licked, bound, or groped by ghostly entities now, was it?

OK, that's the last in this series (unless I think of a really, really good idea). It was a lot of fun to do, but also very much of a technical challenge. I'll give myself a lot more time before doing something this complex again.
Hope you like it!
