I made a wallpaper version: [link] but it's only 1360x768, because I made it for me.
Just realised I don't know what category this falls under.
Dedicated to *thenizu, for making me read Hamlet, and for making me want to try some graphic art for a change.
character:
Freddie (played by Luke Pasqualino). In Skins canon, he's compared to Hamlet, but I don't think it's that simple. I think he and Effy EACH have equal parts Hamlet and Ophelia in them. Then again, if you look hard enough you can find Shakespeare references in like EVERYTHING.
Poor boy's so spun his head's gonna fall off.
concept:
I wanted to draw two screencaps. But I found classic diptych composition on the dull side. So I used my photoshopping skills. Such as they are. I made this to be perfectly decent graphic art in its own right, despite only planning to use it as reference for a drawing, so I made it with drawing in mind.
Graphic art takes ages, and isn't easy. I inhabit the traditional media clique, so I often hear people say trad appeals to them more, or they appreciate it more because it's more challenging. Graphic art is hard. To do it well takes extensive knowledge of PS (or whatever program you use), creative vision as far as composition goes, and patience to spend all day on small details few will notice.
Although I'm not a graphic artist, I rely on graphic art for a lot of inspiration, and I hope I can add it to my modest repertoire of skills some day.

And two Skins screencaps: [link] which I saved on tumblr somewhere, SORRY. I didn't have the time to make my own caps just then (although I normally do, if possible). Brain, mushroom cloud, and Hamlet page I stole while googling, because dA's search function doesn't seem to be working?? So, whoever owns those: I'm sorry. Let me know if they're yours.
tl;dr.
I'm probably forgetting something, but I'm tired as hell and can't think straight. Just want to go back to bed.
