The prophecies told of a primal force so old that the words of its time were but whispers on the wind. They said one day it would arise, and we would face something more powerful than we had seen before. No warlock, no oracle no god could stop it. Then the day came. It came from beneath us...
Finally! I have the guts to try out one of my more 'out there ideas'!
You have no idea just how many ideas I rejected as I felt my skill level was no where up to par, so I always stayed with simplistic stuff. Now, however, I shall push myself once again and try out my more imaginative ideas. After all, best way to improve is to push ones self :3
This was actually done for this big versus thing, where we were given three pieces of compulsory stock then the rest was up to us.
When I saw the stock, I knew instantly what I wanted to do. I have had an idea of a hose in a magical power orb type thing for a while, but never had the guts to try it. Saw the stock and I just knew it was time to do it at long last. :3
The crystal necklace was actually a later idea I had, since as I was mapping the visual in my head, it struck me how much it reminded me of Atlantis: The lost empire (Love that film, mainly 'cause it reminds of Stargate so much xP), so I added the lil' crystal necklace
Okay, I got lazy, I don't like working with water as you can see, but I had to. I had difficulty deciding on the splashes, since the orb was rising slowly out of the water, the only splashes it would cause would be water tumbling off it, but at this stage that would mostly be drips... However, the water was quite stormy, so, I put some splashes through out. Though by that point I was getting to impatient and raging that I really half-arsed the splashes, as you can see!
I didn't add a reflection, since I wanted the light to feel more 'concentrated' opposed to flooding the surroundings.
The horse could do with a bit more work, but again: Raging and impatient.
The markings/symbols are actually something I saw in an archeology text book and liked the look of so I used my phone to take a photo... They are symbols of a dead language, forget what, though they may not be super accurate since I was looking at them on a tiny screen that is a photo of a photo. xP
Yes the hair is going up. The orb of power is raising the horse after all. Yes the tail goes down a bit, the horse was moving it's tail down, but obviously the end decided to stay floating upwards :3
I may come back to this piece and refine it a bit. For now though, I'm just gonna call it quits and show you all.
Here's to hoping I will continue pushing myself by doing my more complex ideas in the future.
Stockies whom I appreciate dearly!
