View On Black
Out of the 12 images I photographed for the First Phase this took the longest time to edit. I faced quite a lot of difficulties in the making of this image, it went through countless re-edits and revisions because I was not satisfied. At the very start I imagined that I could just slap on some debris brushes, add a motion blur filter and call it a day but that turned out to look horribly disastrous..
Halfway through I wanted to scrap this idea and come up with a new, more feasible concept (I was running out of time, I explained the reasons previously) but a part of me did not want to give up on this idea.
Admittedly even though I spent many hours on this image the outcome was still rather disappointing, but it is a lesson nonetheless and I learnt quite a few new tricks while editing it~
This takes place after the girl and her guide step onto the platform (as shown in the previous image) which triggers something :3 Whee!
I'm not sure if it's noticeable but I wanted to show a change of atmosphere. From the initial surreal, dreamy state to something darker and potentially more dangerous~ How her own dreams and fantasies are warping into something more deadly.
