CAREFUL! THIS IS NOT A DRAWING!
It's a phucking photomanipulation. I took an actual photograph of Brad Pitt (sorry for that, love, that was the first pic I saw on my desktop), opened it in Photoshop CS6 and used a smudge tool all over it. Yeah, it took me a couple of hours but I guess it was worthy, cause it looks like a real digital drawing (well, to me, at least). I know I haven't been pretty accurate with the hair, but it even made the picture look more artistic.
Why would I do that? Well, I'm pretty new to digital art (check my gallery to see my attempts of drawing). Of course I looked over DA for inspiration, and I saw a lot of works drawn in a technique which I didn't know how to acheive but that looked perfect to me. I'm not giving any links or saying names. And I'm not saying all their works are fake or anything. It's just that I done the same with photomanipulation (or should I call it a drawing? I've "worked" for 2 hours on it!!!).
I'm just asking for your opinion. Do you think people really draw like this or some just use this technique over the photograph (like me) and then say it's real digital art? I'm confused.
