i must go now my light" she said running her hand along the side of his rough face.
"where are you going?" he gasped out unconsciously leaning into her touch.
"there is a war on the horizon. one of every realm shall sacrifice themselves to it. i shall be participate in such events." she explained her voice showing the signs of breaking.
"so, a fight to the death..."he looked at her with horror stricken eyes and thought of a million ways to keep her here with him. he had just recently found her, and now after finding out who she was and what they were together; he just couldn't let her go.
"you can't i won't let you." he chocked out grabbing for her and holding her tight against him.
"shhh do not fear, my light my fire. you shall see me again." she whispered against his lips, her fingers running down the side of his face. "for i have found my other half, i have a reason to fight harder than any others. i have reason to win more than any one else. i have you, and i am yours for as long as you will have me"
"i'll be here waiting until you come back, no matter how long it takes. i will wait " he whispered back his arms tightening not ready for her leave yet.
he felt a quick brush to his lips, his eyes shutting briefly only to snap open. his arms were empty she was gone and he was left there sitting alone in the dark.
